Commercial Contracts Locum

A new vacancy has arisen with a small-medium niche commercial law firm. Looking for locum cover in August and September – dates to be confirmed but looks to be about 8 weeks – for a solicitor who undertakes commercial contracts, IP/IT, data protection and construction. All non-contentious of course. The firm will look at someone with a generalist commercial contract mix to date, but with some exposure to the other three areas.

Full time or almost full time. Solely remote working – this firm work remotely in any event.

We anticipate the hourly rate range on this one being £50-£60 per hour.

Corporate & M&A Consultant – Remote/London

A new vacancy has arisen with a medium sized London solicitors’ firm looking for a consultant to assist on an hourly rate.

They seek a corporate associate with experience in M&A transactions. Capital markets experience is beneficial. The role would include advising entrepreneurs, large companies and SMEs on all aspects of corporate law, public and private M&A and private equity investment, including
o Company formation and administration of day-to-day corporate compliance tasks
o Directors’ duties
o Share capital (structure, allotment, transfers) and shareholders’ rights
o Share and asset sales and purchases
o Corporate joint ventures
o Corporate reorganisation
o Partnership structures

20-35 hours a week are expected.

Remote working, occasional travel into London anticipated.

Start as and when, but in next 2-4 weeks.

Hourly rate – as a guide we think this one will go for £50-65 per hour. It is highly unlikely to go higher.

Conveyancing Locum Roles (Conveyancers in great demand!)

1. Guildford – larger size solicitors’ firm – looking for residential conveyancing cover from as soon as possible until the end of September. Ideally office based – some remote work may be possible.
2. Farnborough area – solicitors’ firm in need of residential conveyancing locum cover from Mon 23rd August to Fri 10th September. Secretarial support available, office based. Working as part of a small team.
3. Eastbourne solicitors’ firm in need of locum residential conveyancing cover for 1 week in August. Can be flexible – aiming at the week commencing 9th August, but prepared to go one week either side of this date.
4. London solicitors’ firm – smaller sized – in need of remote ad hoc assistance with a caseload of residential conveyancing matters. Potentially some commercial conveyancing if wanted. Very ad hoc – potentially up to 10 hours a week maximum. Ongoing arrangement sought.
