A new vacancy has arisen with a medium sized solicitors firm based in Birmingham B3 as follows: Locum Employment Solicitor sought to work 2 to 3 days per week. It is vital that the Locum is able to carry out their own advocacy in employment tribunals.
Below is some further information on the role..
o Managing your own caseload of various type of employment disputes, ranging from unfair dismissal to discrimination and whistle-blowing claims;
o Providing advice on employment law issues;
o Undertaking advocacy at the Employment Tribunals in relation to hearings and short trials;
o Advising on settlement agreements;
o Building the employment litigation department;
o Progressing cases in a timely and cost-effective manner;
o Building and maintaining strong professional relationships, both with clients and other commercial contacts.
o Ideally be a fully-qualified solicitor (2+ PQE desirable), although other qualifications (i.e. CILEX and CLC) will also be considered;
o Have good IT skills and experience of using a cloud-based case management system.
