A new vacancy has arisen with a solicitors’ firm based in a Manchester suburb. Looking for a residential conveyancer to join them – one at assistant level (secretary, paralegal, junior fee earner all fine) and one at more senior to cover until they manage to recruit. The property department is very busy and they need assistance.
The department has two conveyancers, plus support staff. We anticipate the junior post paying around the £18-23k mark on a salary (or salary equivalent if fixed contract preferred – firm are flexible) and the locum role around the £30 per hour mark. Both office based – Covid secure. Tram stop nearby.

A new vacancy has arisen with a firm on the outskirts of Manchester (easy access from the M6 and M60/M62). Looking for ongoing immigration assistance. The firm are in need of an immigration consultant to join them and assist on an ad hoc basis but likely to be up to 15 hours a week. Clientele tend to be a full mix from individuals through to corporate enquiries. The firm would like someone who has experience assisting with all kinds of privately funded immigration work – visa enquiries, tribunal cases, appeals, complex cases, business immigration work. Ad hoc hours. Start in the next 2-3 weeks. Ongoing for as long as needed. Complete remote working is fine.

A new vacancy has arisen with a firm based in Borehamwood, WD6 – looking for a locum for at least 2 months starting next Monday 1st February. This will be to cover until they recruit permanently. The firm specialise in acting for landlords and specifically seek a property litigator with this experience. Remote working: the firm will need the locum to be based at their offices initially for a 1-2 day induction period in Borehamwood, but you can then work remotely as necessary. May consider full or part time. Work is Landlord & Tenant Litigation. Looking for someone with the ability to pick up caseload and assist other fee earners. You must have experience of drafting possession claims and other associated work experience using PCOL, preferably dealing with defended cases. The firm are also recruiting permanently and will consider both locum and permanent arrangements.
